Editorial Policy

About Kazakhstan publishes English-language research and travel context about Kazakhstan. This page explains what our pages are, what they are not, and how to verify a claim before relying on it.

Author Background

About Kazakhstan was created by Tugelbay Konabayev, a digital marketer and content strategist from Aktobe, Kazakhstan. The site publishes research guides for English-speaking readers using local-language and primary sources. A byline identifies editorial responsibility; it does not mean the author personally visited every place or tested every service described.

Evidence classes

We label material by the kind of evidence it can support. A source-backed dataset is different from a cultural explainer or a first-person travel observation.

  1. Source-locked datasets. The analysis page identifies the metric, period, source organization, source URL, and caveat. Download files are a convenience layer, not a replacement for the original record.
  2. Research guides. We prefer Kazakhstan government, state-data, operator, museum, university, and Russian/Kazakh primary sources. International sources are used when they are the direct authority for the claim.
  3. Local context. First-hand cultural and travel observations are presented as context, not as statistical or legal proof.
  4. Dynamic information. Prices, opening times, routes, visa rules, park access, and commercial inventory require a current official or operator check before a trip or purchase.

Citation Practice

Where a direct source is available, we link it inline or in a source section. A citation shows where a claim was checked; it does not make a changing operational detail permanent. We do not use Wikipedia or a search snippet as the sole basis for a current factual, legal, safety, or price claim.

AI Assistance Disclosure

We use AI tools to assist with research, drafting, and content structure. A source-backed research guide is not presented as a first-person trip report unless the article identifies that experience. Checkable claims should link to their evidence; estimates and unresolved details should be labelled. AI assistance and an editorial review date do not establish that a price, road, attraction or service is available on your travel date. Our correction policy applies when a source or reader identifies a problem.

Content Freshness

Travel information changes frequently. A "Last reviewed" marker records the editorial review date; it does not guarantee that every retained historical sentence was rechecked on that day. Dynamic information must be verified against the current primary or operator source. If you find an error, please let us know.

Corrections Policy

If we discover or are informed of an error, we correct it promptly and update the article date when the substantive content changes. A material correction may include a short update note; a wording or formatting fix may not. We do not promise a numerical correction threshold.
